New York Students Get Focused on Vision and Eye Health

VSP teamed with The New York Times Newspapers In Education program to develop a Get Focused on Vision and Eye Health program which was offered during fall of 2006 to teachers in New York area schools.

In addition to the classroom program, students could enter an essay contest. Budding writers were asked to interview their families to identify eye health issues of interest, research those issues, and write an essay. Winners were recognized at a ceremony at The New York Times on December 4.
