• The Durham Bulls beat the Buffalo Bisons 4 to 0 in front of a crowd of 5,342 at Athletic Park.
  
  
• North Carolina State Optometric Society doctors tested the vision of 101 children from a local Boys & Girls Club, and 36 (35.6%) of the children needed follow-up care.
  
  
• Children participated in fun, interactive games that helped them understand the importance of vision for athletic performance.
