Welcome to the Get Focused curriculum for guest presenters developed by Explorit Science Center and
VSP. This curriculum has been adapted from the original Get Focused activity kit
geared toward teachers and is designed for the guest presenter to use in presentations for K-6
classrooms. The activities outlined in this guide will help presenters introduce students to the wonders
of the eye. The activities are hands-on to encourage investigation, experimentation and discovery.
Students should be prompted to ask and answer their own questions and use the activities outlined in
this curriculum as a springboard for further investigations.
